Child Care Tax Credits
Many families qualify for federal and state tax credits that help offset the cost of child care. These credits can reduce the amount of tax you owe and, in some cases, increase your refund. Speak with a tax professional to determine which credits apply to your family’s situation.
Child and Dependent Care Credit (CDCC)
The Child and Dependent Care Credit (CDCC) is a federal tax credit available to working families who pay for child care so they can work or look for work. Eligible families may be able to claim a percentage of their child care expenses, depending on income and the number of qualifying children.
Earned Income Tax Credit
The Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) is a federal tax credit for low-to-moderate income working individuals and families. Families with children may qualify for a larger credit, which can help offset the overall cost of raising a child, including child care expenses.
Child Care Subsidy Programs
Child care subsidy programs help eligible families pay for care based on income and family size. We are proud to accept subsidies via PFCC (Publicly Funded Child Care) through the county and state of Ohio.
Child Care As An Employment Benefit
Some employers offer child care assistance as part of their employee benefits package, including Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs), direct subsidies, or discounted care partnerships. Check with your employer’s HR department to see what child care benefits may be available to you.
